Chapter/Club Program
Chapter
A chapter is an extension of TBC in a certain area. What would my TBC chapter do? That is totally up to you! TBC gives you some required curriculum, but the rest is up to you. We will provide resources for:
- Hosting in-person events & competitions
- Hosting virtual webinars & competitions
- Teaching our Reading & Writing curriculum
- Growing your social media presence
- Connecting with sponsors in your area
- Networking with readers and writers all over the world
- Building a community and being a strong leader.
City vs School Chapter
Chapters will operate on the city level and clubs will operate on the high school/university level. Both will be led by an officer board. The club officer boards will have three members: President (Lead), Secretary, and Webmaster. Chapter boards will be determined by the Chapter Lead. If you are accepted as Chapter Lead, you are responsible for conducting the hunt for officers.
Please note that we can only have one chapter lead per city. If we have more than one person interested in leading, we will select the best candidate and direct everyone else to start a school club.
In cities where there are school and city chapters, city chapters will focus on enriching K-12 education and school chapters will focus on programs targeting their school.
Chapter Requirements
- Chapter Lead must by high school or university level student anywhere in the world
- We highly encourage students from all around the world to apply :)
- Attending onboarding sessions with the TBC Chapter Team
- Work on at least one project a month and submit your monthly report
- Attend monthly chapter lead meetings
- Officer board must attend leadership training once every three months
